About this event

Twelve places. You cover your own travel; a local cooperative runs the trek and keeps the fee.

The route

  • Days 1–2: road head to Tashing, on the mule trail
  • Days 3–5: three villages on tap water, nights in family homes
  • Days 6–7: the Sumdo school and the Yangma footbridge
  • Days 8–9: back down the valley

Before you book

  • Walking is five to seven hours a day, up to 3,900 metres
  • You need travel insurance that covers trekking
  • We hold a call with every trekker first
